Having previously spent 20 years in sales and marketing roles within the computer industry, Nicholas has extensive experience in developing strategic marketing communications programmes for hardware and software technology vendors.
In the course of his career in senior sales and marketing positions, Nicholas has planned and implemented marketing campaigns for major companies including Olivetti, ICL, DEC, AcerAltos, Wyse, GRiD and Mitsubishi Apricot.
This has included budgetary and management responsibility for all marketing communications, product and third party channel support programmes, end user vertical marketing campaigns and acquisition strategy.
Nigel has first-hand experience in the planning and implementation of UK and international PR programmes for client companies in the technology sector. His experience is reflected throughout the Consultancy's approach to accountable, results driven client programmes.
With over 25 years of PR experience, Nigel's career has spanned a number of London PR agencies including senior positions held in Shandwick's technology practice.
He has devised and directed corporate, business to business and consumer PR programmes for a wide variety of organisations in the computing, networking, telecommunications and automotive sectors.
Caroline joined Strategic in November 2007 from Nelson Bostock Communications, a top ten UK technology agency. For over six years Caroline played a principle role in the management and development of the company’s carrier and enterprise networks business, with particular focus on security.
Prior to this she worked for the leading international agency, Text 100 and boutique IT specialist, Profile PR. Before moving into PR Caroline was an IT journalist, writing news and reviews for Dennis Publishing’s flagship titles, Computer Shopper and MacUser.
Caroline’s UK and pan-European experience spans major blue chip IT brands including BT, NEC, Toshiba, Xerox, PwC, Juniper Networks and TelecityRedbus, through to start-ups and emerging businesses including Seven (Smartner), BasWare, 1E and TeraView.
In addition to pure PR activities, Caroline has worked on a range of analyst, CSR and sports sponsorship programmes for clients including NEC and Toshiba and developed marcomms collateral ranging from 'lite' papers and product guides through to customer newsletters and web copy. Caroline has also been responsible for overseeing the communications programmes to support UK and international company mergers and acquisitions.
At Strategic, Caroline is responsible for directing and maintaining the ongoing PR campaigns for the company’s IT and telecoms practice.
Formerly global marketing manager for the electronics materials division of Loctite plc, Les turned to freelance marketing in 2000, specialising in press services for industrial and high-technology markets. He joined Strategic in 2004, taking the opportunity to expand his horizons by working with prestigious clients across a wider range of industry sectors.
His career has spanned production, product development, technical support, quality control, and sales and marketing, for product categories as diverse as radioisotopic proteins and electronics manufacturing materials.
